Several of Packsize’s packaging systems are featured on the Environmental List — a register of investments that qualify for the attractive MIA/Vamil tax schemes. Through these programs, companies can benefit from the Environmental Investment Allowance (MIA) and the Random Depreciation of Environmental Investments (Vamil) through the when investing in automated packaging solutions. The tax benefit can amount to a net savings of up to 12%.
The Dutch government promotes sustainable economic growth and aims to encourage the use of environmentally friendly equipment. That's why fully automatic packaging machines are eligible for these fiscal advantages. With the MIA, companies can benefit from an investment deduction of 36% of the investment amount. The Vamil allows for 75% of the investment costs to be depreciated at a time of the company's choosing.
Packsize's solutions, winners of 11 international packaging awards, are fully automatic packaging systems designed for e-commerce and online retail companies. The CVP Impack has a packaging throughput of up to 500 boxes per hour. Its larger counterpart, the CVP Everest, can process up to 1,100 customized orders per hour. These intelligent packaging systems scan the dimensions of online orders in 3D and automatically fold a custom-sized box around them. The packaging systems are fully flexible regarding the shape and size of each package, as well as the number of products that can be packed in one box. From a shoebox to a vacuum cleaner, everything is packaged to fit perfectly. Click the link below to see how these innovative packaging machines work.
The CVP Impack and CVP Everest place a strong emphasis on sustainability. A custom-sized box means no unnecessary air is packaged, positively affecting the number of transport movements. It also significantly reduces cardboard consumption by up to 30%. Environmentally unfriendly packing materials such as bubble wrap or air pillows are made redundant by the custom-sized box. Richard Nijboer, Chief Commercial Officer at Packsize, says, “We are once again very pleased with this recognition from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The subsidy for automatic packaging makes it even more attractive for our Dutch customers in the fast-growing e-commerce sector to set up their packing process sustainably.”
